This expression not only makes reference to habits, career, character, but also to how our mental health and memory is and might improve depending on the decision that we take day by day. Among these decisions and habits we can make part of our routine in order to help or improve our memory, we can mention : certain types of food , mental exercise and physical exercise.
A healthy diet will not only help you losing some weight, but also will provide your brain will all that it needs to work at it best. In order to have a better memory, your brain needs food rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and good fats. Once you have provide your brain with a proper diet, this one will be able to produce chemicals that influence in all cognitive process, like memory. Also helping fight back against chronic inflammation (stress), anxiety and other factors that prevent you from giving your best in the learning process. You can add to your daily diet food like, avocados, beets,blues berries, dark chocolate, salmon among other types of food that contain helpful nutrients for all cognitive processes. Once you have figured out which types are more convenient for you, it will be easier to introduce them in your diet.
Mental exercise, games or task that challenge your brain are essential in order to improve your memory. Playing games that force you to think or tasks that require some afford to complete will essentially rebuild the structure of you brain creating new channels and neurons. These new channels that process information will improve your ability to remember things and learn. All this based on strategies of how to approach challenging situations like difficult games and task where you must think outside of the box. You can find any activity that your interested and that you consider it challenge your brain, reading a book, Sudoku, anagrams or others and do it in your leisure time. I believe this is an easy and fun way to make your brain work out.
Physical exercise will not only help you to fight stress, making sure you will have good sleep time, but will also help you to be on that the best of your mental faculties. Many studies have shown that physical exercise helps releasing chemical substances in the brain which are involved in most of mental processes. Different types of exercise ( endurance or weight training) will release different substances and will improve different areas of the cognitive processes and types of memory, but over all it will bring memory improvement in your life. Physical training needs to be planned, and in other to be effective it needs to be repeated over periods of time. In my opinion it is hard to commit to a exercise routine.
